LOCAL MISSIONS
We are striving to actively provide Christ's love to the Chattanooga area.
We support several types of local work, including a hard-working Benevolence
program, the Martin-Boyd Christian Home, and the Inner-City Outreach program.
Benevolence
Our Benevolence Room is open every Tuesday from 8am until 2pm. We distribute clothing, furniture and food to those in need. Benevolent volunteers also work diligently to send truckloads of clean and sorted clothing to needy Christians in Kentucky, Nicaragua and Haiti.
Every patron visiting our Benevolence Room is invited to attend worship services and, if so desired, are registered for a free Bible correspondence course to assist them in their Bible studies.
Donations of clean, wearable clothing and non-perishable foods can be brought for the benevolent room during regular office hours. Please call before you come so items can be placed inside the building. Please do not leave items outside the benevolent door!

Bible Correspondence
In an effort to reach
the local community, written Bible lessons are distributed through the Benevolent Room
to those who we assist. Interested participants mail in each lesson for grading and
the next lesson in the series is returned to them.

Care Groups
East Ridge members are divided geographically into five "Care Groups". If you don't know your Care Group, click here for an alphabetical listing by last name.
The purpose is to connect members on a regular basis, addressing any needs they may be unmet within the group. The five Care Group regions are: Brainerd, East Brainerd, East Ridge, North Georgia, and Ooltewah. Each group meets periodically following Sunday AM services for a fellowship meal.
Inner City Outreach
This program brings the hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ to segments of our local society that are living in hopelessness. Kenneth Dupree is the director of the program which is overseen by the Elders of the Brainerd church of Christ in Chattanooga. TN.

afford to reside there. We have supported this Fund for many

of directors who are all members of the church of Christ.
